This program is designed to help participants think about the future, consider career possibilities, and generate ideas. In her book, Don't Stop the Career Clock, Helen Harkness dispels the myths and stereotypes of aging that prevail in our culture. She writes, "We are no longer on the one life-one career" path to retirement." In fact, today, the average person will have up to five careers in a lifetime! The goal of this program is to help participants tell "time" differently by developing the attitude that "it's never too late." The concept of "functional age" versus "chronological" age is explored to facilitate this change in approach.
In this program, participants will examine the following topics:
- What do the experts say about career development?
- When is it time to move on in your career?
- How do you put spirit back into you work?
The workshop is divided into two parts:
- Managing Your Career
- Managing Personal Growth
