Stress is everywhere—when we solve one problem or “stressor” it seems that two more surface! Because most of us are faced with constant workplace and family changes it is critical that we understand how stress affects our mind, body, and general well being. This is an introductory stress course that explores the tools, techniques, and skills that participants need to manage stress effectively. It is important to explore the positve aspects of stress and how stress is a necessary factor of productivity.
The primary goals of this workshop are to help participants:
- Identify the events and things that cause stress.
- Implement effective strategies for managing stress.
- Understand the connection between stress levels and health, emotions, productivity, and outlook.
We love to introduce students to various resources for managing stress including massage therapy, progressive relaxation techniques, and even yoga! When appropriate, we will bring these resources right into the training classroom for an experiential approach to learning. We have successfully taken these programs to retreat settings, parks, and rural venues to enhance the training impact.
We are conveniently located in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, in Prince Georges County and can host your small-group training programs here or we can come to you anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic region.
